Pharmilink Healthcare Marketing Services (CHMS) supports a general policy of openness about personal data collection methods, and use of that data, as required under the Personal Information and Electronic Documents Act. Pharmilink Healthcare Marketing Services, in the regular course of business, collects data and information on behalf of a wide range of clients. The reasons for data collection are as diverse as our clients, and might include: assisting in resolving a customer query, supplying product information, capturing customer survey data, contest or sweepstake entries, for warranty purposes, registering to receive corporate updates, rebate or refund request, fulfilling an order, or customers taking part in other various promotional opportunities.
We strongly encourage our clients to ensure that the information gathered for various programs and initiatives be limited to the collection of personal information which is necessary for the specific use intended, and that the knowledge and consent of the individual is obtained for the collection, use or disclosure of personal information.
Many of these particular services provided by CHMS to its clients require us to capture and maintain personal information. All information gathered for or on behalf of a client, remains the property of that client. This information will vary from client to client and program to program, and may include name, address, phone number, e-mail address, and possibly some demographic information as well as product usage and ordering information. The personal information captured shall be as accurate, complete, and up-to-date as is necessary for the purposes for which it is to be used.
In some situations, CHMS may work with third parties who provide services including but not limited to the provision of internet services, data analysis and manipulation, data keying and a variety of other services. Personal information may be shared or gathered by these third parties, in the course of providing these services to CHMS, however these organizations must adhere to all CHMS policies as regards the privacy of personal information. In all instances, the data remains the property of CHMS's clients.
CHMS may disclose personal information if we are required to do so either by law, to comply with a legal process or government requests, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CHMS, its' customers, or the general public.
As Pharmilink only manages information for clients, should an individual request details on the existence, use or content of that information, Pharmilink will immediately contact the client for whom the information is being stored or managed to obtain consent for disclosure. This process ensures the right of the individual under PIPEDA, as well as the client / supplier confidentiality agreements in place for many of Pharmilink's managed programs. Pharmilink Healthcare Marketing Services' policy on personal information usage is straightforward. Pharmilink Healthcare Marketing Services' is solely the manager of the client owned data gathered or received in the course of supporting client programs and initiatives. Pharmilink does not rent, sell, exchange or otherwise release data to anyone, other than to the client for whose program the data was originally captured and is being managed.
This Privacy Policy applies to Pharmilink Healthcare Marketing Services, its' employees, and its' agents and representatives who may be assisting in the execution of programs on behalf of CHMS.
Pharmilink uses a variety of security measures to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information in our possession. CHMS makes every reasonable effort to ensure that this personal information is maintained in a secure environment. In the case of financial information, whenever a credit card number is required, we use industry-standard, SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. Data is supported in-house on internally maintained servers and are protected by multi-level security including firewalls, the latest anti-virus software, and password protected access to client data.
